I think the curse is actually about loneliness. The grand duke only turned into a beast after his parents died and he felt incredibly lonely, also it is undone by kissing (maybe like in the beauty and the beast where he becomes human only if someone truly loves him). I just don’t know how it started... maybe someone was really in love with her but she only ever loved Theodore? But then it wouldn’t make so much sense that Thereode looks like Theodore... I’m guessing it all comes back to those two but I don’t know how it’s all connected hmm ╮(￣▽￣)╭

What if...the theory that theres resentment towards the duchy is that its her resentment towards the guy who she fell in love with and killed in her past life? Bc the duke looks similar to her past lover he could maybe? Have a connection to him and bc she resented him for betraying her that became a curse? Idk i might just be making things up (￣∇￣")
