the amount of tears i shed reading this is astronomical

ive worked with crisis center for gender based violence before and even though it was brief, i always feel my heart breaking, and then angry beyond measure, and then hopeless knowing that the institution existing and the state wont grant survivors a life free of worry after horrendous events. reading this....its too close to home, and as a woman this whole story feels so empowering and...comforting.

the author i feel like they have gender perspective and passionate but also immensely educated on the subject. the archduke and his household is so heartwarming. i cried so much in chapter 44, after her first defence and she found the nostalgic flowers the maids collected for her, i cried even more when the archduke said something along the line of "recognizing youre in pain is the first step to heal" that is just too real. and ebony is very well written, shes practically my hero.

this webtoon is the best out there to date.

AH thank you!! im really fine though, just i remember the exhausting legal battles survivors go through...just horrifying to witness much less to endure, this webtoon gave a glimmer of that and the triumph is so satisfying!!
