Tbh, a servant or like a maid now is just a job, but back then it was almost like a lifestyle. People who were truly devoted to their jobs would even risk their life for the one they serve. That’s why the MC wants to find someone who will stick with them through thick and thin. Not to mention, if they’re only in it for the money, they can be quick to sell out any secrets they have for the right price, which isn’t good since servants usually hear a lot of secrets.
Now why would i be a servant for someone if im not getting paid? Just wanna know
