Is it me or the drawing is a little off?

Not sure if I am being too critical because I have been following Baekdam and Yongha for awhile and super love their works, but I notice some obvious inconsistency in the drawing style this time around. At many parts, the facial proportions are a little off, e.g. eyes are too close, and the brush strokes are not as defined. Certain characters’ faces seem to be quite plain eventhough they are important characters. The best example would be Jungmin, Jungwoo’s ex. Even Jungwoo in this version does not look as distinguishable as the one in the OG. I noticed the creators just got an assistant. I wondered if them helping out with the drawing causing this inconsistency.

That being said, the drawing is still very good, just not as perfect as I am used to with their works, so that was a tad distracting. And side note, who else is sad that Jungwoo does not look as much like his sister here? In the OG they look pretty much identical, so we had the funny moment when his sister went to the campus and got people think she was Jungwoo with a wig.

I respect your opinion but I like this version more because in the original version character's features were very dark. Sometimes I had difficulties telling them apart. Who is who.

That’s fair. I think it is more an apple vs. apple situation to compare this to their current style in Love or Hate. The drawings over there seem to be slightly better. I actually just realized the Assistant Goni is helping out in Love or Hate as well, so maybe they are not the factor. And again, I don’t think the drawing here is not good in anyway, just some small things here and there I noticed.

I am glad they remastered it though because it seems to successfully make the story become more appealing to a wider audience. Enjoy!
