i can see a lot of people complaining about the chapters for the seido vs ichidai match and how eijun isn't having it easy and all, but isnt that what we want? eijun has never walked down a straight road, and all of this is for his growth as a pitcher, baseball player and his character as a whole. in this chapter, he calmly pitched against the next batter brilliantly, resulting in a quick out. if you remember in past games (even in this arc), when a run was lost or if he made a mistake, eijun would pitch a little more carelessly, resulting in the "pinch" increasing. all of those hard moments are to build him up for these moments - someone who will calmly play even after a turn of momentum. i love eijun a lot, and im not one of those "ride or die" fans that'll agree and defend the mangaka's every move, but i do feel like this is all for eijun's future growth. i do think the mangaka isn't doing eijun a disservice. eijun is looking more and more like the nation's ace anyway.

though i do agree with the people saying that seido hitting against amahisa only when he is crumbling is a poor move (if that's what is going to happen here). seido have really strong batters, and regardless of amahisa's condition, they can and they will hit his pitch. i definitely agree with those who say that by doing that, that'll make the game underwhelming. i hope amahisa comes up from this slump??? condition??? just so seido can crush him at his best, that's the only option. someone mentioned eijun hitting his pitch, and i bet that'll happen. eijun hit amahisa's pitch during the spring tornament and his batting has massively improved, so i bet like the ace he is, he will come through.

i agree with u, i think people are just scared that the author will fuck him over and get Eijun out of the game. Frankly i'm kinda tired of that happening
