only if you think about it in christian ways...though it's called church in the story it doesn't mean they abide by the rules of christianity, it could be only the same term being used to a different thing. what i've seen so far is that concubines are allowed, not only in navier's country but on henley's too.

if their laws are controlled by the church, then shouldn’t the emperor and the concubine be executed or something? because it’s infidelity and that’s against God’s word so.....
