It hasn't been resolved but I'm sure part of the Mc's heart hasn't given up on her own daughter.
I could be wrong but I saw someone say that MC thought her daughter was dead? Possibly because she said “My daughter was 4” or something like that... it could imply that she thinks her kid is dead but it could also just mean ‘oh my kid /was/ 4 but now she’s older’
I don't think the MC has given up exactly but so much time has passed that there are likely no leads on where her daughter might have been sold to. Its not like a 4 year old would know how to escape or leave signs or anything.
The way she's talking gives an impression that she thinks her daughter is dead... which would make alot of sense on why she's not looking for her and stuff.. as Sarra pointed out her the way she talks about her daughter is as if she has passed... but that's just my opinion
Have we established that the daughter is dead, or has MC just moved on? I honestly can't get into any romance plot until the daughter situation has been properly dealt with plot wise.
