I love your theories, just to drop the joke - when I saw that three panels about Ymir deliberately freeing the pigs (?! :O) and just looking somewhere in the distance my thought was: just like with Grisha, there is prbobably F*ING EREN standing there through the paths telling her to let the pigs flee if she wants to become free one day XD
Have you given any thought the fact why was Ymir's titan power devided into only 9 parts?
What powers did her daghters have?
Let's say that Ymir had the ultimate titan power, her daughters had some powers, and somehow, let's say each one of them got 3 kids that became beast, female, armored etc. Why didn't it get devided even further?
Why those exact powers?
And why, if the titan shifter died instead of eating him it was reicarnated in some random person, without even Ymir's blood? (if i remember correctly)
And do you have any idea why Eren is so disturbed by Mikasa's love? - he was asking Zeke about her while in Marley, he didn't even listen to Zeke when he was watching himself wrapping the scarf around her, telling her later that he hates her (which is obviously a lie, unless..?), telling the soldier to take Mikasa's scarf and throw it away etc etc... why so bothered?
I wouldn't say that her soul was devided into 9 pieces I guess. She is just directly bonded with the titans' fate, since she is "the founder", and she is enslaved by that power forever. Every time a titan is created - normal or special - she is the one building it in the paths. So as long as Eldians live she will never be free, in my opinion, ironically, if they would let all Eldians die one day and then kill the 9 remaining ones - maybe then she would have the shot to finally get her peace in afterlife - no more Eldians to reincarnate the special titans to - all powers would come back to the founder in the paths and she would be free to finally die.
But she has chosen to give freedom to her remnants, so now she's killing everyone but. If they would kill the 9 titans now they would just be reincarnated in some different Eldian, right?
Also I can't imagine her being reborn as Historia's baby since it already was born, so it's already different person.
Another thought: if Ymir did make a deal with the Earth Devil - what was the deal? :D
Exactly, ppl make her out to be the villain and mastermind when it wouldn't thematically make sense.
Ymir didn't know what freedom meant and what it means to her, even tho she so desperately wanted it. For 2000 yrs, she didn't know she wanted to be free, until Eren reminded her she was just human. Notice how BOTH Eren and Ymir have forgotten their humanity. Eren believes he is a monster, Ymir had believed she was a slave, both forgot they are just.... human beings. And they are also the biggest victims and biggest sinners. By abandoning their humanity, they can go against their justice, morals, and emotions, the very things that make one human.
I think there's smth tragically fascinating that this WHOLE 2000 yr cycle of hate started from a girl seeking freedom. And now, Eren wishes to end the cycle of hate to seek freedom.
Guys, GUYS! I know what the significance about the pigs was! Ymir let them out, not to be malicious or anything, but because she wanted to give them their freedom. A thing that she could not attain for herself in her circumstances.
Now Eren has taken all the steps to free her too. He's opened the way for her to get out of that dimension which has been her prison for the past 2000 years, forced to build titans when it was called for. Together they want to give her people their freedom from the rest of the world that hates them, so they are destroying all enemies to make it possible. In that regard I believe they are working together.
Here's the thing though, which worries me. Ymir currently has no soul, right? It was divided into nine pieces, and now for the first time in the entire manga, all nine pieces are together in the same place as well as she is out of her prison. My theory is that Ymir is going to get her soul back and be reborn as Historia's baby into a world where she will be loved and free this time. What I don't know is if that means death for all our beloved titan shifters, or if it will make them human again. The titans seem to be separate entities from the people who hold them, so maybe they would only be taken away without any harm being done.
Also, couldn't the coordinate be used to remove the titan power from all Eldians and banish it from the world? Return that power back to wherever it originated and just be human.
Anyway, those are my theories. I'm sure I will discover in a few months if I was even mildly correct or not. Thoughts?
