That would be a good explanation! It's just frustrating because they're the only ones in these moments and Yuki told him that it's ok.
But just because Yuki told him it's alright to use him as a substitute doesn't mean that he's gay. So his action would still be understandable.
I bet he knew from the beginning that it was Yuki. And he's just lying that he's dating his sister. (What I completly don't understand. Does he think Yuki won't do anything with him if he wouldn't lie? Or does he enjoy hurting Yuki?) Either the sister absolutely hates the rumors and acts because of them like she does (the glaring) or she knows that he likes Yuki.
But anyway the second guy is way cuter.
