Just because it's your favourite doesnt mean they don't have to die. Sometimes it's better for authors to just kill them so they'll maintain their image. Because the longer the time they're kept alive the more chance the author will fuck up that character. I'm tallking about any manga or novel here.

The fact that Sasha and Hange died fucking hurts.Tbh I won’t be able to recover from hanges death she was my fucking favorite I loved her so much. I can’t even read this anymore I’ll just be depressed for the rest of my life. Even worse if Levi dies they’re both my favorite characters.
