I was wondering about the piercings and the long hair too cause i was born in Oman and raised in UAE til i was 15 so i knew some of these things hahah. Although this is fiction and i am into long haired guys in BL, it still felt a bit off because of the details lol. Still enjoyed reading this tho
So much i wanna comment on but lets just say a man with piercings, jewelries, and long hair wouldn’t be presented to the public and respected as a "man" let alone be stay in a royal palace and inherit the throne. And that’s totally not how our traditional clothing looks like and that’s not how we wear it! Plus no one wears like the king’s clothing here unless it’s the 1700s in a Turkish palace.
