im pretty sure they genuinely liked/love each other:) Kurose confessed to shirotani how he realized they(shirotani and the author) were different from each other and that’s how he fell in love(sorry im bad at explaining things)

Can somebody tell me if Kurose genuinely did like Shirotani or was he using him as a substitute for his friend when he was a child? Why did he push his mysophobic friend down suggestively then?
