I liked it as the idea of the start of Tokyo Ghoul series.

with "the worts HARMONY" ( it strangly reminded me of the scene with Tsukiyama smelling Kanekis bloody tissue in toliet with "BEST HARMONY"-thingy; like the polar oposite of situation in this one-shot) (๑•ㅂ•)و✧.
Also in this one-shot Kanekis mask looked like somthing that a CLOWN could wear ( http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/tokyo_ghoul_oneshot/bt/278968/Ch0/26/ ). AND this mask ALSO have a showing teeth, but more simple, smiley-crazy rather than that dark version in the series. AND the “clowny ” light-talk Kaneki had with Touka at the end: http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/tokyo_ghoul_oneshot/bt/278968/Ch0/35/ . Like a normal teenagers exchanging experience in the field and trying to learn something new together.
AND the Maneger of Anteiku taking care of young ghouls (unsuspecting that he also is a ghoul).
AND the scent of inspector Mado family tragedy. In Mados case it was his beloved wife killed by ghouls. In this it was Shinoharas young, beloved doughter, and revenge motive with the obsession to kill every ghoul on the planet (which inspector Mado had); in here: http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/tokyo_ghoul_oneshot/bt/278968/Ch0/18/.
AND the obvious fakt of existence of a charakter named Shinohara.
AND the ghouls unability to eat human food ( http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/tokyo_ghoul_oneshot/bt/278968/Ch0/9/) , AND other settings of series reality: whole page http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/tokyo_ghoul_oneshot/bt/278968/Ch0/ ; “truly, a ”ghoul’s” strenght” ( http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/tokyo_ghoul_oneshot/bt/278968/Ch0/26/) ect. etc.
And for me the most important “AND” of this One-Shot AND the series, that GOULS ALSO HAVE FEELINGS, INSECURITIES AND EVEN IF THEY ARE “MONSTERS EATING HUMANS” THEY ALSO HAVE WILL TO LIVE!!! ( http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/tokyo_ghoul_oneshot/bt/278968/Ch0/27/ ) And that was what captiveted me in this whole series.
So, it’s better to analize through first, than saying that it’s totaly a waste of time. To my mind it’s much funnier and more interesting to see how the story was at the begining, and how it turned out to be one of the best mangas ever written.
