Haha, sorry guys... it's just... this manga doesn't have the usual brainless character development, it actually lays in the severe emotional damage they got from their past experiences; which is, of course, what makes it one of the best elaborated stories I've ever read.
And it pains me deeply, too, to have to accept this might be the "if you think this has a happy ending you haven't been paying attention" type of story.
For a happy ending (being together type), I think they would have to go far far away, detach themselves from the yakuza world completely and start over in like an almost empty island or something. Would they be able to though? As in, psychologically, would they have the emotional ability to do so?
