But her family is pretty reputable that if she complains or something happens to her they’ll go to the empress dowager. At least if she was a concubine, the wife would put her in her place and Gu isn’t forced to actually see her anything. Her family would have more reason to argue about her treatment when she the wife compared to if she was a concubine.
I really like this, except I feel bad Gu. Like even if he was framed I wish he wasn’t force to marry that other bitch. At the least she should only his concubine so he can treat her like shit as payback
