The things I donât even mind that a delinquent bottoms Iâm just annoyed itâs automatically the default and itâs only done so because itâs âfunnyâ and âcuteâ seeing a hypermasculine be emasculated. It has nothing to do with bottoming just being his preferred sexual position which a personâs appearance shouldnât dictate, but somehow itâs become a trope because it solely fetishizes his submissiveness. Thereâs itâs own problems with this kind of portrayal but BL doesnât have the nuance of gender politics to actual expand on bottom shaming and top praising that actually occurs in the male gay/bi community, just that it looks funny visually to readers and has a very shallow relationship with representing this discourse.
And the whole point is that itâs âfunnyâ to see such a juxtaposition for most readers of this viewpoint. I just broke down the issues with it. You might not think much deeper than Iâm just here to read cartoons fuck and thatâs fine. But there are gender politics to this for actual queer people and our representation/ stories not just be fetishized objects for often cis heterosexual women. This genre and itâs cliches, tropes, and stereotypes donât exist in a bubble, they bleed out.
I WANT THE DELINQUENT STILL BEING SEME. PLEASE I BEG U GOD
