Don't worry~ I also feel like that from time to time. Yeah, shoujo has a lot of cheesy and stupid like hell crap, but so does Mr.BL sometimes with the stupid-and-naive-uke-being-raped-by-the-seme-but-still-falling-in-love-with-him. Just avoid stories like that by reading the comments or looking at the rating and read shoujo worth your time, like Jauhara Genya, Dengeki Daisy, Faster than a kiss, Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii and many others. Afterall, every genre has its bad stories and its jewels ╮(￣▽￣)╭

That would be cause most shoujo are like that. The worst ones (for me) are ones where the girl has to pick between two guys and guess how that ends? Usually one picked over the other for some retarded reason or death of one character or more. The main reason I hate Vampire Knight, making vampires care about nothing but ONE girl is absolutely disgusting -.-

I agree, Dengeki Daisy is a gem.Shoujo has too much rotten stuff though, that genre has a dearth of originality.Manga by by "watanabe kana" are good.

Agreed! I actually came here from the VK page to post this!!! You know what I hate, the rich, good-looking all rounder guy picking the MC who loves him just for his appearance, as his gf.I'm like "Dude, give me one reason for choosing her!" If the very same guy had been not so good looking and poor, I'm sure she wouldn't give him a second glance.

I gave up shoujo after I found out about BL too, they just give me goosebumps, and a urge to throw up, sometimes the urge to sleep, so yeah, but I do like the one I read before a lot like fruits basket, and love hina, thats just how I discovered manga so they hold a special place in my heart lol, the only shoujo I follow is skip beat... even dengeki daisy, I stopped Y_Y

wahahahaa!! I can relate to that! The female leads in most of them are so ridiculous that when the guy chooses her, I feel like saying, "Follow me man, I know this mental hospital which may make you normal again".I had stopped reading dengeki daisy too, but recently i went there and it had been completed, so i read the rest of it.There are only a handful, even less, perhaps four or five shoujo manga that I truly like now.Even mangas that I worshipped before seem like trash now.

For example, pretty sure that Zero wanted to kill his brother because said brother didn't like Yuuki. It's like - love Yuuki or die. I'm sorry, but such a concept is revolting and absolutely disgusting to me. As a girl myself, I'd rather break up with both guys (I'd never hang between two in the first place!) rather than have such a NEED surface. I'm currently reading a book called A/The Demon's Kiss (it's originally Italian so I'm not sure of the English translation) in which the main heroine Scarlett has spent over 50 pages thinking about her lost love. And nothing else. Her behaviour? Violent and prone to crying whenever someone says something wrong to her. How I will ever finish this book is beyond me...

Also, why would you want to 'get rid' of your addiction to BL? Most of them make more sense than shoujo's lately do. True love shouldn't be dedicated by gender but by feelings of the parties in question :/

You know that I tried to get rid of that addiction in the past cause my life is so busy and reading is really time consuming... but it lasted few months and then I became an otaku again hold up in the house reading hehe

'anonymous' here.Just made an account.I've stopped reading shoujo for a long time now since it annoys the hell outta me, but I occasionally come across them and it drives me mad when I find the girl moping around.I haven't read VK at all, just reading the summaries gave me the whole story, and ever since then I've been a loyal hater of VK ;)

I'm not against people of the same gender getting together, in fact i'm a strong supporter of LGBT rights.I wanna get rid of it coz i've been spending all my spare time on this site, reading manga for years without doing anything productive :| Yaoi's gotten tiring too, for me, since the stories have become kinda repititive, but I just ream 'em out of habit.

Are we doomed to drown in these yaoi waters? Somebody PLEASE HELP MEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
