So Nakyum’s choking wounds disappeared just for plot convenience. He was also in a way tortured. No marks of that at all? This sucks. And why wouldn’t Nakyum say anything? On one side I get it. He’s scared and might think why would Seungho, a noble lord do anything about it but Nakyum also seems to know nothing about Seungho‘s personality. The guy is possessive as hell. Beat other people up for his sake and basically confessed his feelings. So didn’t he think Seungho would be wanting/able to protect him from his former lover and the hired assassin? Just tell the truth. And Seungho is also a prick. He kidnapped Nakyum. Forced himself on him repeatedly while always letting Nakyum know that he is just a body for him who has no self agency in this relationship. How can he be super mad thinking Nakyum ran away, just because his feelings evolved into „love“ and he confessed? Doesn’t automatically mean that Nakyum is obligated to just accept it. So what’s going to happen now? Nakyum Will obviously be raped again. But now will probably be locked away after that and Seungho might force him again to draw him and others just to punish the poor kid and show him he doesn’t care? I think a lot of Seungho’s anger has to do with hurt pride. Nakyum is truly alone here. The art is amazing and the story interesting but I can’t really say I root for them to end up together. Simply because I don’t feel they have a connection other than sexual. They never had a real conversation. And I understand, Nakyum has to be careful what he’s saying to Seungho. But when we get down to it why Seungho is so in „love“ with Nakyum, it’s really just about looks, his drawing ability that makes Seungho hard, and Nakyum being in love with his „learned sir“ while trying to refuse Seungho, who always got anyone he wanted. So to me that’s not really about love but obsession and pride on Seungho‘s side. Nakyum is scared and powerless and has no say so in anything that happens to him. The problem I have with Nakyum is, we don’t really find out much about what’s going on in his mind. It’s all about the „learned sir“ and Seungho. Everything he thinks about is those two men, how they treat him and what he feels about them. With all that he remains a little two dimensional because we never get to know who Nakyum is as a person. What are his aspirations and plans for the future? His thoughts about people other than those two men, thoughts about his situation, the despair for his situation? Where is his anger? We just always see him cry. He has such a mild temper that he sometimes seems to disappear into the background personality wise. And honestly, that’s not really so much his fault because whenever he shows some spunk it’s ignored by others and with that doesn’t have much impact. Like he’s just there to be a romantic interest and wait around until Seungho takes his head out of his ass. I feel like I don’t know who Nakyum is, like something is not being said. After all he grew up in a brothel and seen many things. He’s artistically very talented. He had enough balls to draw images depicting sodomy for profit before he ever met Seungho. I want to read about this Nakyum and get more info about his past. He abruptly stopped because his learned sir was giving him a speech about how disgusting that is. I get he’s in love and all, but why stop drawing at all? He could draw other things to make money. I mean we Never hear about how he makes his money otherwise. Seungho just finds out he’s a drunk. So did Nakyum just give up on his art completely? I don’t know, for someone who grew up in a brothel he is too innocent in regards to not being street wise at all. Like he has no Will to live unless it’s for the sake of some dude.
