People liking Yahwi are brushing over the fact that he raped the MC. BL is a genre made with a female audience in mind, which allows for people to screw up their perspective of men and gay men irl. That is one of my main issues. There was this one question on this site where this student talked about how she imagines her male teachers in sex positions with other male teachers. This is harmful because she's transferring what she has seen in BL, and using it to sexualize real people (her goddamn teachers). Imagine if she constantly read BL with rape in it! This ties into your idea of shifting focus to rape in real life a lot more than you think.
