Well what i'm gonna say won't please everyone but I'm still gonna say it anyway... It's not because something is part of culture that it's always good or forgiving. For exemple, excision is part of some countries's culture, but it's monstruous and shouldn never be banalized.
Personnally, I'm not against polygamy. BUT when it's equal for men and women. And his country, tell me if I'm wrong, it's just men who have the right to marry many women. Women don't have the right to marry many men. They can be agreeing all they want or anything, it's just not fair and that's what I'm not confortable with this manga.

something about people getting bothered by polygamous relationship when its literally a culture thing just screams xenophobia but maybe thats just me... people need to stop thinking their experience is universal and broaden their horizons a bit (especially westerners who somehow think they are the benchmark for everything)

I am from the country right next to his country and polygamous relationships are really normalized where we are from and being polygamous doesn’t mean that you are a cheater or a player.
