I wouldn't say he "got better"... he raped him, put the blame on him, forced him to stay with him and have a baby that he didn't even want to have and then tried to trap him with it...and doesn't feel any remorse for it. It's not "he got better", it was forgotten and pushed aside by Fargo more than anything else (especially since Fargo knows when characters need to feel remorse for things, literally Chowons whole character)...unless that was his purpose, hence the title 'Love Is An Illusion'. Hyesungs a whOle victim.
