Because jumping to conclusions is easy when you have a young and active imagination.
When things don’t get explained, it’s especially easy to misunderstand ones intent. Especially when you’re younger/have less life experience. Not that it’s a particularly bad thing. It just makes it hard to control ones own emotions.
