These are the basic description I can think of. Some of these facts might vary according to the manga/manhwa , as the author might like to create.


Alpha is the dominant species of humans , they're mostly good at everything they do. They're the elites of the society. They're usually the ones who can form stronger bonds with omega. Basically they've got good genes. Yes, they can bond with beta , omega and even alphas themselves.Also they're privileged and are considered to be mightiest in the omegaverse world. In some mangas/manhwas alphas can get pregnant, and others they might not(alpha women can get pregnant but alpha man might not). Depends on how the author wants the world to be, in their manga/manhwa. About appearance, they're usually muscular, with broad shoulders and yk the usual dominant look, but ofc exception exist.

Betas are like the med of humans. They're average and they're life is ordinary.


Omegas are the lowest in the category. They are considered to be fragile, only for sexual pleasure and birth giver. Omegas can get pregnant regardless of their first gender (male and female). They're restricted from a lot of jobs (there's a reason for this, I'll explain that in the later half). They shunned by the society and are treated like objects. So basically they're treated similar to how women are treated in our real world. Appearance wise, they're beautiful? Delicate and slender. Again, exceptions do exist.

Alphas and omegas emit pheromones. Pheromones are emitted from their bodies to mark their partners or sometimes they don't even realize that they're emitting them. This is usually done by alphas to assert dominance. As for omegas their pheromones attract alphas for mating.

Betas don't emit pheromones and can't detect or smell them.

Alpha and omega both have regular or irregular heat cycles. It's similar to oestrus cycle in mammals. Just how women have menstrual cycle. For omegas, this is the best time to be get pregnant and they emit a large amount of pheromones during their heat which usually lasts for 5-6 days (I'm not really sure sorry T_T).

As I mentioned earlier, omegas attract alphas due to their pheromones, (sexual attraction) , whether they want/like it or not. So they take pheromone inhibitors to prevent (being sexually assaulted/raped).

Omegas during heat are very active sexually. Some omegas just go for sex with their partners to calm their heat down. Omegas with no partners take inhibitors and such.

Alphas also have their heat (again I'm not really sure, alphas in heat is rarely shown in omegaverse so I don't know much) in this period, they either take medicines/inhibitors or just have sex with their lover/partner.

An alpha and omega might bond for the rest of their life if the alpha bites the nape of the neck of an omega during . This act is usually done if they're lovers. But sometimes in the heat of the moment, or because of primal instinct alphas may bite an omega during sex.

This results in them being partners for life, whether it's consensual or not.

The effects of bonding is that the omega ( and alpha I think) will not be able to have a pleasurable sex with someone other than their bonded partner. Pheromones of other omega/alphas will not feel good to any of them.
