For number 3) Red Lotus/ enchantress was the serpent that was originally supposed to eat Yooshin (sacrificial prince) and become a god but when our now yellow dragon was originally the venomous snake, he wanted to be a god too and went to the god of creation to asks but she said she couldn't make him into one. Instead the god of creation gave the venomous snake a hint on what day the urn with Yooshin in it was going to turn gold, this is info the serpent/Red Lotus didn't know. As the serpent waited for the earn to turn gold she got tiered and asked the venomous snake to wake her up when it happens, although, on the 7th stormy day when the urn turned gold, the venomous snake didn't wake up the serpent and devoured Yooshin making him god/yellow dragon. The Red Lotus is obviously furious at this and became a bad guy towards yellow dragon. I hope this makes sense.
and for number 4) I also agree, I was so sad at the fact we couldn't even meet the other half of the spirit animals and wish that there were more chapters to introduce everyone and get to know them making their deaths a lot more depressing and meaningful and for the author to elaborate more on certain events and cover up major plot holes throughout the story. Still made me cry like a little bitch but yeah good story over all.
Omggg thank you about point 3) I totally didn't understand that part!! I totally thought that the the two snakes ' story was about yellow dragon and black tortoise instead of red lotus (because at a certain point someone says something like... black tortoise too was born in a wicked way)!! I also inverted the roles, thinking it was yellow dragon the one who originally had to drink the alcohol and black tortoise the one who drank it in his stead, so that part wasn't very clear to me, by this point I just would have loved to have more chapters about that part of the past... at least to better understand the actions behind the two snakes and the two princes actions (the one who survived isn't even mentioned in the story and the one who was eaten is barely introduced....)
Also totally agree about point 4)
I'll start with saying that I really liked this story, both art, characters and plot.
But, now that I read it all, I am left with some questions....
1) Why was there a need to put in the "other world" the friend who... ikd? Tried to rape MC?
I mean, he is just there, he speaks one sentence and then he never appears anymore. He wasn't needed, it was just perfect when he was part of the nightmare :/
2) the subplot about the emperor who had to sacrifice himself to create the yellow dragon wasn't elaborated enough, and soon it was set aside and forgotten. Why?
3) Then I didn't understand the bad guys' boss, that... ikd?? Enchantress? Who wanted to become a God.... who?
4) Last thing, I think there are a looooot of interesting characters but only a few of them where developed, that's a pity!!
The ending was bittersweet, but I liked it, although I would have personally preferred to have
SPOILERR
both of them living happily in modern Korea lol
