How I see it is that jugyeong has a lot of self esteem issues esp because she was bullied bc of her looks in middle school. Using makeup helped boost her confidence. I don’t necessarily think she’s “acting” like a pretty person. And let’s be realistic, not everyone are like those characters who turn really hot just cause they take their glasses are off (T▽T) The reason why I feel like it’s called true beauty because suho looks like he’s the endgame even though it doesn’t look like it rn. and he didn’t fall in love with her looks, he fell in love with just her as a person. The author will probably have suho and jugyeong become a thing again but that won’t happen for a while.
