dude I hope you're joking because what you are saying is obviously missinformed they are not brood mares. He is an Emperor, he is sleeping with every woman separately in their quarters and there is a schedule in place. He is legally married to them within the law of their country.
Historicaly woman were see lower than men and used as such for expanding the possibility of heirs. It is historically accurate for an emperor to sleep with the concubines and the Empress. The emperor is not inseminating, he is having s*x with them. It is also said in the novel.

Tbh, i read this story hoping that it will be a fun adventure and journey... But knowing that this story contains dark themes that i never expected... I am shock.

I like the story! But i don't think if i can handle this plot (T_T)

Sorry for whining, but this is the first shoujo(?) Story I read, that really illustrate reality... As you know, a lots of shoujo is just unrealistically beautiful, so this story is a shock for me...

But because i don't have a habit of giving up on the story i got hooked up, i'll endure every disappointment, frustration, and sadness i would feel as the story goes on until it ends... But if I really can't handle it, then I'll stop reading this before I regret it...

I understand your disappointment but this is a story that takes true facts about history into it. I like it because it shows that the reality now is better than it was before. this was women's reality then. we have more choices now but it is not perfect. not everywhere but it is better. we fought a lot for our rights and the fight isn't over unfortunately. The novel has a lot more gore and details and it is hard to read and not be mad about the woman's situation back then.

Hope you don't give up on the story but I understand that is hard to read what women had gone through and endured before we had liberty.

And yeah this story is so good and too realistic. Its really upsetting that in the past era they treat women as just some kind of trophy and fcking tool to achieve their wicked ambitions (–_–), and I agree that we are lucky enough to be born in this era where we have freedom to do everything with out own accord (though theres really some stupid and toxic stereotypes people).

So yeah, in the end, this story might help me to learn some things that I could use in reality (since no one ever teach me how this effin world works, how to deal with this sickening reality).
