Purple eyes

So. . . Their (possible) children could have purple eyes? Completely ignoring punnet squares and all, blue + red would equal purple so?? Besides to do a punnet square I'd need to know which gene is more dominant n all. :V

i mean Punnet doesnt really work since there is no Natural Red and Ultramarine Eye Color irl

But it’s doesn’t really matter you just need to know whether a certain gene is recessive or dominate, so for example if one if his parents had ultramarine eyes and red eyes are dominate in demons his section of the Square would have both a dominant and recessive gene type(d/r and if going by the logic that her blue eyes are recessive she would have both recessive

Gene types (r/r) so it’s would be (d/r,r/r,d/r,andr/r) so it basically 50/50 whether the kids have blue eye or red eyes. Then again these numbers are purely hypothetical since we can’t really be sure what their recessive and dominate genes are lol

Right? Thats why I went the easy route and combined the two. Its not all that scientific but it also isn't uncommon. Curly hair and straight hair often makes wavy hair, and light skin and dark skin has a habit of producing a skin tone in the middle. Maybe if we saw more of the family members we could "properly" figure this out. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

It could though!! Its mostly about theoreticals. Besides there may *currently* be no natural ultramarine color irl (though there are some that are close), its not as though it can't come into existance. Red eyes do occur though, its most often seen in albino individuals & is caused by the transparancy of the iris showing blood vessels (if I remeber correctly). There are genetic combos that pop up out of nowhere such as new genes for blond hair and blue eyes or elastic skin, even heterochromia may be hereditary. Though, these may not be as easy as using a punnet square to figure out. In any case, punnet squares don't NEED to be based on real things, they only need to be based on a dominant and reccesive possible gene. Though I do know that eye color is based on multiple genes in the end, so though punnet squares often work- there is more genetics at play (this is where needing both eye colors to be real would come into play).
