The police dont do shit bc its really hard to prove rape, literally the only evidences are the victim's body and the crime scene. Also people don't believe that men can also be raped... for some fucking reason #－.－)
True, but sometimes they're extremely stupid. In a case of r*pe, the girl had a tampon inserted into her, and the police stupidly said there's no way r*pe could've happened because of it.
I dont think its "being stupid" but rather ignoring the facts and just blaming the victim. The case you mentioned would be even harder to prove even tho they should have analized the evidence carefully. I totally get what you're saying and no one should go throug this kind of violence and no one should be accused of a crime they didn't commit. No, I understand you fine. Though, I wouldn't say they were blaming the victim (in this case at least) since there seemed to be an insufficient amount of evidence, though that statement about r*pe being impossible due to a tampon was utterly stupid. I suppose they wanted a shut and done case, so throwing away to possibility of assault makes it easier to do so.
i find it almost amusing that police don't exist in these type of stories
