it’s not even that, it’s just, the mindset. i’m empathetic so i’m just i guess a little more in touch with how they feel, all of them. i feel bad for some more than others, but it is true that it’s just fiction, i just don’t understand why there’s so much intense hatred for someone if it’s just fiction, you know? lol you can’t have one without the other lmaooooo the mindset is toxic
there are a few comments here and there i read one saying he should just jump off a cliff after replying to someone saying they’re happy to see taku in pain, which is, sure feel what you feel
it is a story, people get immersed in stories and have strong feelings towards characters. that's normal. people got immersed in the Harry Potter story and had strong feelings towards characters but no one cried about it when people criticize those characters cuz people are able to recognize the difference between fiction and reality. if someone says "wow I wish Umbridge would just kill herself" no one is up in arms like "UMBRIDGE HAS FEELINGS TOO" cuz like, no she doesnt. being mean to a fictional character you hate doesnt actually hurt anyone. that's what makes it fun. you can take out your anger and frustration towards a character and not worry about dealing with their feelings cuz they don't actually have any feelings.
People have strong feelings because sometimes characters violate their personal morals and commit wrongs in the eyes of the reader. when this happens you want to see the person who has done wrong face justice. For many, Taku's suffering now is his karmic justice for all the suffering he caused of others in the story. it tastes of sweet justice and people want to revel in it.
it is not toxic. it is a completely normal and healthy way for people to vent their feelings without hurting anyone. don't like the comments hating on Taku? keep scrolling.
