athanasius was already impure from the beginning, Lucas already saw that he was being consumed by impure magic and wasn’t suitable for the throne. Athanasius already wanted to get rid of Claude even before meeting Lucas so it’s not really a butterfly effect on him, more like athanasius already had a plan since the beginning
I don’t wanna blame Lucas or anything. But from Ch.83, it seems like all the mess which caused Claude & Athy die terribly in the 1st life and were still suffered badly in this life, just because Lucas turned down the young Aeternitas in Ch.78. #-.-)
Then it became something like "The Butterfly Effect".
➽ Could it be that Lucas refused to teach Aeternitas and even vented his spleen on him because he could see through him?
