personally, i wouldnt recommend it for anyone to read just because of how triggering and horrible of a story it is. its extremely well written, which is the thing that makes it very disturbing for readers,,,,,, id give it a shot if u like reading about murderers/kidnappings though since once again, its extremely well written and major props to the author
Because its Amazing, it has a original plot and the caracthers are great. They both have some mental problem which is making the realationship kinda unhealthy and i think that is a big Reading why people hate it because its “toxic” but i personale think is great to have some yaoi which isnt like other stories. So i think you should give it a try is one of the stories who have left a hugge impact on me and one of my farourits. But its a story were you Ether love it or hate, but i would recommend it and think alot of people hate on it because they didnt like it and maybe Got annoyed over other People Loving it so much ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Yeah, I am often bothered that it is called BL/Yaoi just because there is a homosexual relationship in it. I would strictly categorize it psychological thriller.
But yeah, I agree that it is quite well-written. What makes it a good writing for me that it is not just a psychological horror that is arbitrarily made gay just for the sake of appealing to Yaoi readers. The romantic involvement of the two lead characters works in multiple dimensions and it is written quite well into the storyline.
Since the OP hasn't read it, it doesn't make sense to give specific examples but basically, it brings another dimension to the psychological pressures faced by Bum. He is already a very insecure person and I think he believes that the fact that Sangwoo is into him makes the story of his kidnapping even more unbelievable. So he is even more reluctant to get help. And then there is also his history of sexual abuse.
Anyway, it is a heavy read and although I like it, tbh I never really understood why it is so popular ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
It is just a really good psychological horror/thriller.
There really isn't much BOYS LOVE there. If fact there isn't any love.
But if you like psychological thriller, fked up stuff but like still really good, you should give it a try.
It also grasps the psychological state of the characters so well.
But you still have to be cautious, it is honestly a really good read, especially if you like complicated characters, but it is quite violent.
And don't listen to what people say, the ending is what made Killing Stalking ~
im a weak bitch when it comes to psycho horror and i was rlly just curious how there was yaoi involvement in there along w its popularity. So the fact that the storyline actually made sense in interpreting it is all good n all but i think i have to agree that they should tone down the yaoi label a bit? Since im one of dem curious yaoi readers (but def not into forceful violence) anw, thanks for lmk
Well all in all, it is still just a comic. Read a chapter or something if you don't like it, then drop it, no need to think this hard about it. Ain't no university essay to write at the end. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
If you like psychological thrillers and horror , Give it a try.
Honestly even if you don't and just like complexity, well built characters, and good plot and art, you should too.
If you like, say, strictly fluff, then...probably not why I would recommend, that story has baggage.
Also, for example, "An Uncomfortable Truth" isn't tagged BL/Yaoi because it's simply not one. I am sure there are other manhwas like this where the story revolves around a homosexual relationship/attraction but the overall vibe doesn't fit into BL/Yaoi category. I think KS should be considered as one of such manhwas too.
It could be a marketing strategy on Lezhin's part that is creating this misunderstanding.
Can some of yall give me some reasons why i should read this manhwa despite reading comments say that its insane and the like? Been seeing its popularity out of mangago and i never thought of reading it cuz of its eerie atmosphere and the title oof- like is violence in there and other forceful shit
