I don't think she can just see him as a "14 year old" because of what he did to her and her family in the life before. More so doesn't want to... I think you might be able to understand if you were given the chance to kill a young Adolf Hitler- but at the same time he's still a child so you might not be able to do it. Then put in the fact he kills your beloved family even though you were certain they were innocent and you tried so hard to get them justice or protect them. You might not be able to think the same.
