underwhelming- like a low rate itazura na kiss

usually i love maki enjouji's work, but smthings not just clicking for me. its interesting and the art is nice and all, but there's just smthing off about it. like how him moving to america was quickly resolved or they had their 1st time making love it was quickly brushed over (unlike her other mangas) and i feel the mL switched over really quick from a cold guy to a softie in a way thats confusing to how he treated her the whole first half of the series. the whole characters and plot remind me a lot of itazura na kiss, which also kinda dullens the story for me as the ml doesnt seem cold like naoki or that guy from hapi mari, but he's not to kind either, he's just smart but mediocre in personality. also really dont like the fake diseases the mangaka made up, it wouldve been cooler if she had actually discussed a real fatal disease (einsteins disease isnt actually fatal or have anything to do with lungs) or just mention seizures randomly for the conglomerate hair. idk, this just isn't one of her best works. and now an ex look alike comes back. hopefully the drama will be more interesting

It's bc she created a lot of set up drama but it was all a let down. I mean both rival were pretty useless tbvh that said, I'm glad the male lead was at least interesting. I can't stand those wishy washy blushy guys. It was cute at first but now all male leads are like that
