from the new chapter my guess is he tien probably took on those guys and ended up getting hurt, and jian yi is blaming himself for it, probably gives him flashbacks to his parents or something like that, so it might be why he wants to be stronger?

makes sense but i don't think thats the problem.since in chp 117 jian yi still act foolish as always and in 118 he suddenly mad
