Relax Karen. For the time period depicted and by Japan’s standards, she will be a consenting adult when she turns 16. And while they call Arjord the “former” king, from the depiction we got of him when he was king, he was only 16-18 years old. I would estimate no more than 10 years have passed since then, so he’s likely I’m his late 20s. He only looks older because he has a weather worn face and beard. Also, during that time period people physically aged faster and died faster than they do today. So a 20yr could look like he’s 30 and a 30yr could look like he’s 40 and so on.
And frankly if you consider Arjord a pedo, then EVERY vampire/supernatural ML you’ve ever read about... is a pedo... just think about that and either drop the story or enjoy it for what it is... the story about a girl who’s an awesome seamstress
