No I don't mind it in the story really but if it was in real life I'd explode is the point I'm trying to make. Like he's annoying but the plot makes me feel and I like that in a story. I like shield hero and I fucking hate half of the people onscreen at any given moment. But to gives me that emotion because you're not supposed to like those guys. You're not supposed to like red padding yet, you're supposed to like him later on if the author does it right. He is factually an asshole. And I'd hate someone like that in the real world. But that doesnt mean I hate the story it just means the character is memorable enough for me to hold emotion for.
