haven't read it but I've been planning to read it. currently trying to read captive prince series. maybe it'll suit your taste? I can't bring myself to finish reading it as it makes me too sad
seconding captive prince, although tw on rape though. you might also want to try Tales of the High Court Series, not on the mythology side, but relies heavily on high fantasy and piracy. (following this too in case anyone has other suggestions ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~)
OMG. You guys are taking about 2 of my top 3 most favourite English novel! What a coincidence is that! Lol. My other favourite is Wolfsong by TJ Klune. It's very DIFFERENT from the two, it's werewolf story! Funny at first then become heavy starting in the middle. Again, it's very different but you guys might want to read it coz it's really a good novel.
yeah I can never get past captive price bc of the rape and the general tone of the series. im a weakass bitch and I can't stand angst. another suggestion would be a novel with something something raven I can't seem to remember the title but it had a lot of buzz before. wayward son(?) also seemed interesting. I wish I read more novels but I stick to fanfics nowadays and have no patience for novels.
Fanfics take up about 80% of my reading too. But I have almost exhausted the good ones for my fav fandoms.

The Song of Achillies left me teary and lost for a week. No amount of fanfics can cure me now. But Captive Prince isn't something that I will enjoy. Thanks tho!
So I recently finished reading The Song of Achillies(novel)
And I really need to read something similar, that preferably doesn't end in tragedy.
The entire dynamic between Achillies and Patroclus was amazing and after playing Hades I need to read more of something like this!
