The issue is that he is using his trauma and mental illness(assumed) to give him reason to hurt others. It's never bad to have mental illness but if you use it as an excuse to hurt yourself or someone else, that's what's bad and it gives the rest of us bad stigmas when normally we aren't the dangerous ones, but the ones in danger. He deserves mental help but he also deserves some form of jailing, likely in a good and safe institution. It's never okay to hurt someone else and blame it on your issues and it took me and many others a long time to realize that.
