Seems like the same Sasuke to me. There just wasn't no need for this story to be written, because it was too predictable and it answered the question that everybody already knew...that Sasuke and Sakura are Sarada's parents. If the story stuck to its original idea of Karin being Sarada's real mom, it could've taken the story into so many different directions and created so many possibilities (like, if Karin was Sarada's mom, why was she with Sakura? Why did she have two parents that weren't there for her most of her life? What was the reason for all that?) Instead, the story came to an immediate end and that was that; I'm just not a fan of stories like that. So, yeah, waste of time and sorry attempt at a story...I don't recommend.
I don't think people should hate on the writer who has worked hard nonstop on Naruto for 15 long years. This was just a SIDE STORY before Bolt's movie, mostly showing how Sasuke changed. Who knows he may do more of a continuation on the new generation, but overall he produced one of the best mangas ever that lot's of us loved growing up.
