You guys remember that she can see what others can’t right? Like that green little fairy elf that can only be seen by her and Male Lead.
What if the maids actually exist but cannot be seen by others normal human? Hence it can be said that there’s no maids exist there.
Cecil has said that it thanks to the maids that she is safe for all those years. That means the maids protected her or taken care of her.
But no way an ordinary maids are capable to protect her, a princess!
If they’re normal maids, if a higher up order them something, the normal maids won’t be able to do anything!
or like she was really close to the maids and they helped her a lot, so the people that abandoned her didn't like that. Which leads to them maybe killing her maids, in front her at that, and she couldn't deal with losing the only people who cared about her, on top of that blaming herself that they died because of her. It was too much to bare that she started imagining them. I say this but the things about fairies make much more sense ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
guys, I just went back to the first chapter and whenever the maids are shown in flashbacks for example (there are only like 2 to begin with) their faces are black (in the shadows) and you can only make out their hairstyles but not a single facial feature...
My only guess at this point is that she was too young to live alone and they were her only social interaction in her entire life, so she probably just started imagining that they were there after they vanished... I mean who wouldn't go a little coo-coo crazy after they were left alone for 20 years of their life...
