As an archaeologist I was so glad to see that they clarified that he's a paleontologist. Archaeologists don't care about anything that hasn't been altered or otherwise affected by human hands though we do appreciate when paleontologists geek out because we totally get it. We also totally get the struggle to find funding and the pressure to publish a ridiculous amount just for a higher chance to get funding. I feel for the uke in so many ways.
A bit irrelevant, but couldn't but wonder... imagine a paleontologist and an archeologist geek out about their professions to each other and then one day they discover both their love for BL and then they end up simultaneously geeking out about the same thing for the first time
