wait.. does he really need to take revenge on the one who defeated his father? it was a fair fight right? and his dad lose.. in a fight there's a winner and loser.. wheres the sportsmanship?? unless the fight is rigged.. the one who he should have grudge on is the family who mistreated them after that defeat.. im still on chapter 1 but i see no sense already... hhmmmm lets read further to see what happens next...

but isn't that expected in battles? nothing is for certain... he just lose to a fight and that made him crippled.. i would understand if the enemy bullied them even before the tournament.. or the enemy cheated but its not the case though.. he just hated the fact that the enemy is stronger and his father lose and become crippled.. thus him being bullied after.. i dont understand why would someone blame it to the other person.. if i wasn't good enough to win, instead of blaming my shortcomings to other person.. i would rather do everything i can to improve.. his fathers actions after he was defeated definitely is the reason why they were bullied.. he secluded, self pitied and he doesn't want to receive help from others.. he is self centered and proud.. and that affected how others treat his family too..

well, though the enemy really have a bad personality when they met in that tomb.. i think it was all due to the protagonist being so asshole too.. provoking the enemy even though the enemy is not paying him any attention..

one thing, i am really confused with the age though... the father an adult fought with the enemy who is only a year or two older than his son.. his son is probably 6-7yrs at the time.. but isn't the tournament is about the generations strongest youngster?? why is the father participating in that tournament??? lets just say he was 16 at the time he fought and became crippled.. who thus it mean to say he was only 10 when he had a son??? so confusing really..

i get that's expected in a battle but the kid was obv the stronger one (as he took down the dad with one move) what the kid didn't have to do was cripple him. there was no point in doing that. the father could've progressed a little but the dude was still growing so he easily could've progressed in the upcoming years. the dude could've even progressed further because he was in the main branch and the main branch and more resources. the father being crippled gave a physiological shock because all the hard work he had done until then were all in vain yk. He had mainly thought he had let down the family. the actions of the father did relate to how a lot of people treated the mc. the fathers meridian's were obviously not getting better from the other herbs. the father was probably in a depressed state and didn't wanna get help from anyone. personally if he had gotten help the mc wouldn't have been like this, not a lot would've changed but it would've at least helped the mc cultivate faster. the father and his cousin i think, was jealous of the father. the people around still would've treated the mc the same. if he had gotten help from his grandpa and still not have gotten better the people would ridicule them saying they're wasting precious herbs. i don't know about him tryna improve, he cant improve since his meridians are broken. the father humiliated the outer branch and many people must've blamed him for him to self pity himself to that intent. at ch 1, what the kid said was " fathers hateful ridicule, mothers grief, the laughter of the people around us" and i think what he made up in his mind was the reason was him being humiliated at the tournament. i guess that just the way the author wanted it. the tournament was the dai yan dynasty's martial arts competition. the kid was 8 yr's old the next scene was 6 years later so the kid was 14.

Even without revenge , Lin Don needs to work hard to show those shame less people though. And the way lin langtian treat others is too much . He was like I can’t stand anyone who do not listen to me . I think , at first lin don just wants to win back his dad’s honor . However , lin langtian tries to kill him and suppress him many times . So one death is a must
