I just read some spoilers about the ending so like Theo is the reincarnation of the past Theo (this scene was when he discovered the portrait of the emperor Theo) but he doesn't have memories unlike Martina. He remembered a few days after. But yeah the curse will be lifted because Astina loves Thereode and like Martina and Theodore are history. My point is, they learned to love each other not because of their past life. That's it. Bye.

Again, Waldo that sonuvabitch was originally the cursed one because he massacred the Leta clan (Martina's clan) then he met a Leta woman who cursed the hell out of him and his future offsprings and like the curse will not be lifted without a Leta's forgiveness. That forgiveness is LOVE which is why he raped Martina cos she's like Leta's last daughter and he thought the curse will go byebye if he do that like what the F this Waldo how dumb r u? Ugh. This is in Waldo's diary then Theo read that diary. When Waldo died the curse was passed to Theo. Theo then be like "How about my love, Martina? I want to make Martina the Queen" (he didn't say this but who cares duh he's really concerned for Martina tho) sadly he can't just pass the throne to Martina and she can't become a ruler and she's infertile so no babies too huhu. So Theo planned the revolt and labeled himself the TRAITOR all to 'safely hand the throne to Martina'. That's it.

Theo is cursed because of Martina's curse for Theodore who 'BETRAYED' her. According to other spoilers Theo (present) is not the reincarnation of Theo (past). Theo got the blood of Theodore which was cursed by Martina or something which explains the curse of their bloodline or family.
The curse will be lifted after some "Astina-loves-Thereode-not-Theodore" episode.
idk how to explain it well because I just read some MTLed versions of the novel so this spoiler may not be that accurate.
