Now, it did say that they are the same age. In truth, Athanasia and Janette are, in my opinion, around 68% cousins.
If Diana gave birth to Athanasia and the other lady gave birth to Janette, and Diana being the only women Claude ever loved, then it is impossible for Janette to be Claudes daughter. A man with common sense would never cheat on the woman he loves, and from the scene where an illusion Diana was fading away and Claude hugging it asking her not to go tells everyone that there’s no way that he would ever cheat on her while she was alive. I could that he really really really loved Athanasia’s mother, with all his heart.
So doesn’t that right there tell you that Janette isn’t Claude’s daughter, but his brother’s daughter instead?
Completely agree with that, in my opinion its impossible that while Diana was alive Claude cheated on her :) if Janette would have been younger than Athy I could have wondered if, in an attempt to forget Diana or just find comfort or something like that, Claude could have spent the night with that brown hair woman but yeah
I am kinda really happy that Athy is CLaude´s only daughter and that she is Diana´s daughter as well ╥﹏╥ thank you for answering guys
Athanasia is Claude's daughter with Diana, they met after Claude massacred all of his family members. Jeannette is the daughter of Anastacius (Claude's brother) with Claude's lover. This the part which I really hate her, so Jeannette's mom is Claude's lover but she wants to be the Empress so she cheated on Claude
Let me just clarify that Jeanette technically isn't but still is Anastacius's daughter. She's a chimera. She's an artificial human-being made from black magic by Anastacius and born through Penelope. Since the start, she was brain-washed to think Claude was her father without proper back-up. "You're the daughter of the emperor so that makes you a princess." That automatically made her believe it because not only that, she has jeweled blue eyes. Plus, she has no clue that she's only being lied to by her relatives ie Roger Alpheus. Her perception of family is very vanilla and polished. So putting all that together, she probably thinks "Oh, something must've happened which is why Claude doesn't know I'm his daughter." and "Family doesn't lie to each other. I was told that I'm a princess, so it must be true."
wooooow thank you for that
I actually completely forgot about the fact that Jeanette is similar to/is an artificial human being, that completely slipped off my mind
I agree with the fact that she has a very sugar coated image of what a family is and i dont really know how to feel about her. I do no hate her like some people in the comments because she is basically a child, who has been lied to her entire life, who feels lonely and shouldnt be blamed for what her ¨parents¨ did in the past and because she believes Athy is kind of her sister she actually never harmed her right (please do tell me what you think about Jeanette as a character I am quite curious as to how other people perceive her so far ^^)
if you are telling me the man with black hair and jeweled eyes is not Claude´s brother, I can not wait for the story to unfold omg omg im so excited sksksjdsksj
this work is such a masterpiece ╥﹏╥
re-reading cause i enjoy pain (daddy´s memory loss is pain) and also i have a question, in the original story/even in this version, a big question was, who really is claude´s daughter, right? we lowkey know jenette or whtv is claude´s brother´s daughter or smth with black magic but she is not claude´s daughter right?
but how come people wondered who was claude´s daughter when they are the exact same age, like they both had their debutante at the same time so that means they were both born the same year right? cause if one of them would have been older okay i can understand but how come jenette really thinks she is claude´s daughter when athanasia literally is the same age as her and they are not twins, as if diana or that brown hair girl with a beauty spot next to the mouth could give birth to 2 babies the same year
am i just stupid?
