Riddle's mother is in love with the Duke and she's obsessed with her children being Castillo's (even though theyre not) and this obsession ended up making Riddle become a little crazy in the head. So yes, something like that. Riddle wants to be the duke's son so that his mother will be satisfied and so that he can get away from her and Princess Iris envied Estelle so yes, the princess also wants to be a castiello. More specifically, she wants to be the ONLY castiello and is willing to break Estelle for the position.

she wants to technically be the only female castiello child. She's jealous of Estelle's popularity, and the love she receives from her father and brother because Iris didn't get that. Her mother hated her because she was blind and the queen only liked the Castiello children. Iris sees Estelle living HER dream and she wants to basically BECOME her. And to do that, she even is willing to take Emel to do that.
