Yes and no??? It’s kind of like he placed his whole value and his everything on Dojun so like when Dojun was gone it’s like his everything was gone and for the longest time he chased after Dojun that it kind of just became a part of who he is?? Like he doesn’t need Dojun anymore, but like that desire to have Dojun back has become a part of him. Idrk how to explain it but it’s like... It’s like he believes that he still needs Dojun to have some worth kinda. Like we see him all vain and proud but in reality he just places his whole self worth on his looks and pheromones bc he feels like it’s all he is/all he has. And Dojun is kinda the first person he’s ever been in love with and when he thought Dojun loved him he started to place his whole self-image on Dojun. But when Dojun left, all of that was stripped away and he became obsessed with getting it all back.

Tl;dr... He has kinda given up in a sense that deep inside he no longer rly wants Dojun (ever since Kyungsoo came along he stopped obsessing over Dojun and more or less forgot abt him). But he also still hasn’t given up in a sense that he believes he still needs him. Like it’s mostly just abt his self-image and ego rather than those love feelings
