I'm guessing that she wants to see the truth. Every room, the person is warped or blinded by what they want. Thus the saying ,"ignorance is bliss". They choose to lie to themselves to stay happy. I guess she doesn't need all that stuff, or is sacrificing her health to know the truth.
I read the raws and well...........you'll know....just reread ch 5 & 6, pay attention to the tied up people and her room before she got transported into the book...
