Anyway, I understand the hate for omegaverse but... i personally like it. It has fresh concept and add opportunity to create new variety of story in BL since things kind of getting boring lately. Repeated concept and plots everywhere :/
Omegaverse's concept of heat and markings for me is good for guilty pleasure or to fulfill dark and twisted fantasy of the readers but nothing more. Never to be taken seriously.
Omg to think that some ppl actually hate omegaverse is just confusing! I don't see anything to hate from omegaverse like it's just the same as pregnancy but with heat and discrimination. That is what makes stories including omegaverse interesting. With the drama and seme's desire to always protect ukes in omegaverse always gets me in tears!
Like I don't get what some ppl hate about it .. the fact that boys can get pregnant? Like c'mon what's bad about that? Just bcuz they are a boy doesn't mean that they always need to fulfill being a man. That's literally just toxic masculinity. That's why I completely agree with you!
I think the hate comes when people relating a fictional story to real life too much, the same goes with other genres tbh.
One scenario for example, for a man to gave birth to a baby like a woman may triggered an actual gay/lesbian person because that is an actual same sex relationship's main issue in real life. Its very sensitive for some people, the idea of giving a family. Im not saying its always the case but it does happen. This is why a fiction should always be treated as a fiction, we should never be too absorbed in a story and try to relate it to real life. That being said, there are plenty of other reason why people hate omegaverse.
Personally im not delusional, I separate fiction and irl no matter how realistic or how close the resemblance is. Omegaverse is definitely for fantasy purposes only and I personally love it. I can see the baby of the fictional couple I shipped and supported in mangas.
