Well, they weren't exactly prepared... The boss of the club already has doubts on them and he was already suspicious. Sharpe and rabbit knows that their target is already suspicious of them, and Mr. Sharpe has to look like an awkward Math teacher who wants to get jacked off but isn't exactly 100 percent comfortable enough to do it infront of somebody. Besides, the past couple of weeks was rough for the both of them, Shrpe is being pressured by the higher ups to dispose of rabbit and Rabbit thinks that Mr. Sharpe doesnt really give a damn about him. So yeah I think the scene was appropriate and not cringey.
But it's just my opinion so...

totally appropriate, i think it being awkward was what made it so authentic and convincing! their acting on the spot got the boss man to leave so it worked out great (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ i just felt the secondhand embarrassment so hardcore lmfao
okay both characters are so good looking but the tension.. the awkwardness... had to take a lap
