Right... the author was good at covering certain parts so you'll be surprised in this turn or that. If one disregards the thought that Mizutama was indeed a boy, the previous drawings of him before he went into the toilet only showed his upper body, I think - so, you can't see his pants until the toilet part, where the main character was super shocked... most would definitely have seen him as a girl. Who he likes was mainly ambiguous; and since the story is mainly from Miharu's point of view and Mizutama wasn't really very clear about things, it looked like he saw Miharu as a dear friend and Kawagoe as a person he admired and, considering his cuteness, girly habits, and admiration for him, it's easy to think that he likes Kawagoe. When I first read this, and got to the ending, while I was happy that they ended up together; I had to reread and saw those points.
It would be nice if only there were more chapters or at least 3 more chapters:
One is Mizutama's point of view, one an extra from Kawagoe's point of view (it hurts as to how he's seen as a main character when he's only a main side character... it would be nice to see this handsome man fall in love or at least see the main couple with his eyes as a side character) and one an epilogue of sorts to see how they're going... like a date or Mizutama getting taller or Miharu learning from Mizutama or Mizutama getting manlier... stuff like that. I have an inclination for girly/ feminine boy leads in shoujo romance manga, because they can be rather rare and it's interesting to see how they act (not to be mixed up with crossdressing boys, though they're not bad)
